Q. Am I required to visit a CUDL dealership in order to take advantage of the CarSMART preappproval?
A. No. Even though CarSMART preapprovals are designed for use at CUDL dealers, Star One will honor your CarSMART preapproval at any California dealership. You will need to provide Star One with a copy of your SmartApproval Response form.

Q. Will my credit be checked?
A. Yes.  This is part of the preapproval process.

Q. What if I qualify for a certain loan amount, but I need a more money?
A. Contact us and we will review your application.

Q. What if I complete the CarSMART application and I don’t qualify for the loan?
A. Contact us and we will review your application and discuss any options you may have.

Q. I think I qualify for some Star One discounts. Do I need to tell the dealership what my discounted loan rate will be?
A. No, The dealer will write your sales contract at the non-discounted full rate. Star One will contact you and apply the appropriate discounts when we book your loan.
